INTEREST DATA... Hydrography: The lake is of glacial origin, with cold and transparent waters in a typical landscape of mountain range and with a rich bird population. It is also a zone of streams and rivers that increase their volume with snow-covered rains in winter, and swamps that saturate with defrosting. Climate : The climate responds to the Region of the heterogenous air of the Pacific, presenting winter rains between May and August an excess of water is registered. The subdivision of this classification is the characterized one not to have thermal summer, with abundant snowy and pluvial precipitations of the Humid Andes. The temperatures are low (average annual 8.3 Cs; maximum absolute 35.5 Cs and one absolute minim of -16,7 C). Flora : The zone of lake 5 is within the fitogeográphic division, in the subantarctic province, in the Austral Region. The underbrush is very dense and is dominated by the Colihue Cane, accompanied by shrubs like the Michay, Black Hawthorn, Violets, etc. In streams and edges of the underbrush there are Quivers, Notros, Ovidia Pillopillo and Pil Pil Voqui. |
